A Thrilling Sunday of Professional Sport

Sydney is set for a massive day of professional sport today, Sunday, 22 March 2026. The city’s sporting calendar is headlined by a high-stakes A-League Men’s fixture and a spectacular Suncorp Super Netball double-header at Sydney Olympic Park. Whether you are a fan of world-class football or elite netball, there is plenty of action to catch across the city's premier venues.

A-League Men: Sydney FC vs Newcastle Jets

At Moore Park, the "Sky Blues" return to Allianz Stadium for a crucial Round 22 clash against the Newcastle Jets. As the A-League season enters its final stages, Sydney FC is looking to solidify their position in the top six. The match promises plenty of intensity as both teams fight for vital points. Fans are encouraged to arrive early, with the official Fan Zone opening at 1:30 PM outside Gates 1, 3, and 5. This area will feature family-friendly activations and entertainment leading up to the 3:00 PM kickoff. Given the heavy traffic expected around the Moore Park precinct, public transport remains the best way to reach the stadium.

Super Netball Double-Header at Qudos Bank Arena

Netball fans are in for a rare treat as Qudos Bank Arena hosts two massive Round 2 matches back-to-back. The 2026 season marks the tenth anniversary of the Suncorp Super Netball league, and this double-header is one of the marquee events of the year. The afternoon of elite competition allows ticket holders access to two professional games on the same court.

The action begins at 3:00 PM when GIANTS Netball take on the Melbourne Vixens. Following the conclusion of that match, the NSW Swifts will take to the court at 5:00 PM to face the Melbourne Mavericks. The venue gates open at 2:00 PM, and the Tonies Activation Zone in the main foyer will offer interactive experiences, including a 360-degree camera and player signing sessions post-game. Sydney Olympic Park is expected to be very busy, so pre-booking parking at the P1 car park is highly recommended for those driving.
